Our journey started with a simple idea: to create the best BBQ sauce that would bring people together over great food, great company, and unforgettable flavors. And while it’s been a wild ride since then, the heart of our business remains the same: delivering high-quality, handcrafted BBQ sauces that make every cookout memorable.
OUR BEGINNINGS
Like so many businesses, Cabin Twelve BBQ was born during the challenging days of the 2020 pandemic. With time on his hands and a love for all things BBQ, our founder Christian decided to experiment in the kitchen, mixing up a BBQ sauce that would take his already-delicious BBQ creations to the next level. What started as a few simple tweaks to an old family recipe quickly evolved into something special.

Christian began perfecting his sauces, adding unique ingredients and flavors to create a BBQ sauce that captured the essence of Texas BBQ. His goal was simple: create a sauce that not only complemented his BBQ but was also worthy of being the star of the show. After much trial and error, Christian hit upon a combination of flavors that would later become Trailboss, Smokehouse, and Campfire—our signature sauces that have since earned a loyal following of BBQ lovers.

The first real test came when Christian took his new sauces to McKinney Trade Days, a local event in McKinney, Texas. What began as a small-scale test quickly turned into a success as people came back for more, eager to try each sauce and buy bottles to take home. The overwhelmingly positive feedback convinced Christian that it was time to turn his hobby into a business.
From Kitchen to Commercial
Seeing the demand grow, Christian realized that his BBQ sauces had the potential to reach a much wider audience. In 2024, he partnered with John Henry, a bottling company in Houston, Texas, to professionally bottle and label his sauces. This move was a game-changer, allowing Cabin Twelve BBQ to expand and offer products in retail locations across Texas and beyond.
Our sauces quickly became a local favorite, and we’ve been proud to see them sold in stores like Elliot’s in Plano, Fairview, and even in Allen Americans Hockey League’s team store. What began as a small family operation has now grown into a beloved local brand, and we’re excited to continue spreading the love of Cabin Twelve BBQ sauces to new markets and customers.
